Box Hill has been designed as a bespoke private get away for adults only. Having three small children ourselves, this was a big call but we wanted to provide the best possible guest experience and beautiful finishes.

Unfortunately not. With respect to our neighbours who run livestock and the vast amount of native animals who call our farm home, we don’t allow animals.

Yate and York are two individually designed cabins offering the same comfort, amenities and privacy. The main difference is their position on the property: Yate is the first cabin along the private driveway, while York is located further along. Both cabins are designed to provide a peaceful and private stay surrounded by nature.

We are located approximately 12kms from the main roundabout in Esperance.

The easiest way is to google Merivale Road and we are 5.8km down Merivale Road on the left - green roadside number is “587”.

We are on the way to Cape Le Grand National Park and the world famous Lucky Bay beach!

Esperance is best known for its stunning natural scenery, especially its white-sand beaches and turquoise waters. For a unique experience, visitors can be picked up directly from Box Hill and taken on a scenic helicopter flight or even beach picnic landing with HeliSpirit.

In town, you can enjoy the foreshore, local markets, cafes and the museum. Esperance is ideal for travellers seeking nature, relaxation and outdoor adventure rather than nightlife.

While Esperance is famous for its beaches and outdoor adventures, a rainy day doesn’t mean you have to stay indoors. There are plenty of ways to enjoy the town and experience a different side of Esperance.

Visit the Esperance Museum and discover the region’s fascinating history, including the story of Skylab and the space debris that landed near Esperance. For something creative, explore local art at Cindy Poole Glass Gallery or the Cannery Arts Centre.

If a slow morning is more your style, grab something freshly baked from Bread Local, or try Little Local if its big sister is closed. Cloud 11 is another favourite for locally roasted coffee, with plenty of other cafés and restaurants around town to discover.

You can also make the most of the weather with a scenic drive along Great Ocean Drive, where many of the spectacular lookouts can be enjoyed without having to venture far from the comfort of your car. Alternatively, catch a movie at the cinema, browse the local shops or simply embrace a slower day back at your accommodation.

And if you're feeling adventurous, do as we do and embrace the elements! Head to Avanto Sauna on the Esperance foreshore for a sauna followed by a refreshing dip in the ocean. There's something pretty special about experiencing Esperance in all its wild and wonderful weather.
